Thank you for responding. Here are my thoughts. I'm really cautious when I hear people talk about supposed massive fundamental societal/political changes because if you have enough historical knowledge to see past all the mystification then you start to see that every hyped-up trend is nothing societially new and every place in the world since at least 1900 (and that's generous) is structually the same because they are all part of the society based on the interesting compulsion to spend money to make things to sell to make more money to make more things or else face ruin. That's why anything happens in the current soicety after all, whereas in mediveal times it was all genuinely different. A common idea espoused by so-called intellectuals like yanis varoufakis is suggesting that new technology broke the paradigm and now we live in techno-feudalism where the megacorporations exist outside of traditional markets and are the new feudal lords, but this is literally just a description of monopoly which has existed in industries since the late 19th century. It's nothing new that states and businesses are always looking to increase tracking and surveillance and data collection to better sort human materials (a part of which is using metrics like IQ) to better defend and satisfy the interesting compulsion mentioned above and all its associated categories. Sure it's yucky and dystopian but it's also this society working as normal.

I uhh I went to work. I gotta go again soon too. I don't want to gigadoxx myself too much but I can tell you about the interview though. I arrived an hour late, got basic info about the job wrong, and then was visibly rattled and shocked and became incredibly nervous once the interviewer showed that she was actually familiar with my previous job which I was in the middle of lying about. But then she asked if I could start that same day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
