So why could people have personnel-sized beam guns but it was such a mind-blowing thing for the RX-78 to have an MS-sized beam rifle at the beginning? It was always one of the weirdest things about UC for me, I always thought that the beams fired by people were just stylistic errors or something and they were meant to be regular guns.
