Everything I'm saying only applies to white people. I'm not a tough guy (I've won 37.5% of fights I've been in in my life) but I grew up in a rough area and I've been in a few streetfights. The majority of fights you'll most likely encounter will be over a minor misunderstanding or some offensive remark/deed. The majority of people aren't willing to kill someone or go to jail over these things no matter how angry they are. The ones that are usually have cooler heads in their group who will talk them down or pull them away. The worst that happens to the majority of people in a streetfight are bruises, black eyes, broken noses, maybe some teeth knocked out. Having said that you absolutely could fall the wrong way and crack your skull/break your neck/fall on broken glass and get cut bad. Also One fight I had in my 20's left me with a bit of Forrest Whittaker eye (not as bad as his) after my head got bashed on the pavement leaving me with nerve damage. That's never going away. Try and avoid fights if you can. If you can't you do need to hurt the other enough to make him stop fighting.
