You are thinking too simple there "King" you can't neglect your commoners or turn everyone into nobility,because then nobody will do the simple work which is needed to keep your kingdom afloat, vice versa if you have no nobles who have their duties despite many games lacking to show it, you need to balance your kingdom arround their needs if they are happy then so will be you but sometimes you will have to make decision that might turn one or the other angry so you will need to prepare something to appease them in return, the last thing you want is a rebellion and your head at the gallows Sire
