You can absolutely make fun to play Vanguards in this game. The question is if the chinks have good enough designers for that.
They seem to at least have 1 decent hero designer on the team since Emma, Reed and Sue were pretty decently well designed.

Better hope whoever designed Ultron, Human Torch and shit doesn't design the next Vanguards though.
