The complete and utter stillness of the plane as it glides up then sofly glides back down into a mushroom cloud is pretty fucking funny- like you'd think if the pilots were aware something was wrong there'd be some external signs of it (eg angle of plane adjusting, fins aggressively flapping to try and adjust altitude, etc.), but because there aren't you get this image in your head that the pilots are just flying casually, whistling to music and blissfully unaware of their impending demise, the distant whispers of 'SAAAR SAAAR YOU MUST ADJUST ALTITUDE SAAR' in the background from the control tower feed they turned down because it was annoying them.
