You misunderstood my argument. Hajime saw talent as the solution to the mundanity of his life, but he never considered the burden of having that talent. His view of talent was very superficial. Instead of taking the hand that was given to him, he decided to pursue the easy path to talent.

It would have helped a lot. I honestly thought that Hajime was being walked all over and spat on for not having any talent, and that the people around him were constantly preventing him from developing his potential. But in the end, it turns out that he had a decent support network, many people warned him about the consequences of the process of transforming into Izuru, he wasn't shown to be exercising or studying harder than anyone else and that he wanted to stay in HPA more than anything else out of pride.
