Jesus said multiple times the kingdom of Heaven is inside people and not literal, also as depicted in the vision in Revelation, the timeline of it is actually that Jesus is crowned King once he ascends after the resurrection and his Kingdom begins at this moment. We are currently literally living in the age of Christ's rulership - during which Christianity spread all over the Earth - and, as depicted in Revelation, the battle in Heaven, the dragon being cast down to Earth and imprisoned etc all happened during this time. Christ's reign doesn't start after the great tribulation/end times it begins BEFORE it and we are currently living through it. Once you understand that such prophecies are more abstract and the timespans of them are over the course of massive amounts of time it makes more sense.

Christ's 'return'/'second coming' was when he resurrected, ascended and the age of Christianity happened, it's not actually something that hasn't happened yet. Likewise, the great tribulation isn't some one bad event that hasn't happened yet, just like how the antichrist isn't actually a singular specific person or how the great beast isn't actually a beast - we are currently living through the great tribulation (the era in which shit is described as getting really bad and believers are persecuted and the world is filled with wars and disasters etc) amongst the antichrist and the earthly kingdom of Babylon RIGHT NOW
