Yup, perfectionism is not healthy in the long run. I also think maybe autism or something might play a role in some of these artist's cases. A good few of them just get fucking hopelessly obsessed with one thing in the creative process or some other tangentially related thing, like Halex (?) I think was his name sperging out hard whenever anyone would repost his art, that he wasn't even charging for, mind you. Just like incessantly scouring the web to see if someone posted his artwork on another site, then would nuke his stuff and disappear for months at a time. Deeply unwell behavior and that energy would be better off used making shit instead.
