◾Russia would really like a refugee crisis in Europe. Russia used to scare Europe with Ukrainian refugees but it failed. However, if the war in the Middle East lasts for a long time, refugees will indeed become a serious challenge for Europe (and Europe already has quite a lot of challenges to deal with).

We'll see how events will unfold.
