Okay, after reading that I think your hypothesis is more plausible than not though it still doesn't quite fit together in my head so smoothly. Like, I read what you're saying and it seems like he went through all this trouble to make sure he survived long enough to kill people at the No Kings rally and NOT, say, to ensure he survived to get away safely. However, it appears his wife seems to have planned to a 'getaway package' with him. In my mind, there's no way he could have thought he'd get away with it. However, I concede that the cops checking the other lawmakers' houses on a hunch was a really good break.
