They get full sun all day. The concrete is hot enough that I burn my feet if I walk barefoot. Pot is big, I forget how many gallons, but easily 60-70 lbs when filled with dirt.

Bushes have no issues with lots of sunlight all day. Do you think those mazes in rich people's gardens are all fake? And again, there should have been shaded added in the form of gazebo type structures.
