I've never been so demoralized in my entire life, it's not enough that we neglect children, we actively go out of our way to hurt them. In some sense war atrocities make sense, theft makes sense, sexual assault and rape are dark and grim and evil, and they make sense in a twisted sort of way. Drug abuse and neglect and mismanagement is depressing, but they're root causes are somewhat visible. This open acknowledgment that there is a 98.999% chance that the most powerful people in the world likely ran and still run a vast network that abuses and rapes and mutilates children with surgical precision is the most grim, abhorrent, depressing thing to mull over in my life of constant misery, failure, and dejection. I'm beyond blackpilled. I'm so completely demoralized I want to cry and vomit sometimes.
