I was an anti-social shut-in in my teens. In my 20s, I became a lot more social through education and work. To begin with I enjoyed it, but after a while I realised the more I got to know people, the more I noticed how vapid and generally uninteresting and uninterested in anything of substance they were. The idea that

Seemed to be the opposite for me. I would like people initially but the more I got to know them, the less I wanted to spend time with them any more. So now I’m an anti-social shut-in again. If I thought I could have fun and interesting experiences and conversations with people I would socialise again, but I never found any.
