Satellite imagery shows a rapid expansion at the Russian Alabuga factory, where Shahed drones are produced, CNN reports.
Between late 2024 and mid-July this year, at least eight new warehouse-like structures, apparently new production facilities, were spotted at Alabuga, with some still under construction.
There also appears to be a major expansion in housing for workers at the site, with at least 104 identical rectangular buildings, which look like worker dormitories. ISIS, the US think tank, has assessed that the buildings could accommodate up to 40,000 workers when finished, and it will represent "a pretty substantial increase in drone production."
