guys, i've made a huge breakthrough in figuring out the New Eridu economy

any lvl 10 schmuck can earn dennies by fighting at the HIA VR. the qingyi trailer establishes that even old people have some fighting ability, so i believe a "level 10 fighter" is a good representation of the average citizen
normally, 1 fight takes 1/4 of the day, but that includes midnight, when nobody is up and about. so a normal working day would only allow for 3 fights
the lowest amount of dennies for a lvl 10 fight you can get is 10k. x3 fights a day means that the minimum wage in new eridu is probably around 30k dennies a day
but if you're properly rested and have had your coffee, then you could get as many of 50k dennies per fight. x3 = 150k
thus the average daily wage in new eridu is probably around 90k dennies. (a skilled proxy can earn as much as 375k)
we know that New Eridu employment law demands 1 day off a week, thus your salary is closer to 77k

a very small apartment irl is 20 square meters. and cost in the center of the city can be as much as x2 the rest of the city.
with a cost of 100,000,000 dennies per m2 in the center of the city, that implies 50,000,000 dennies for m2 for the average apartment
so for a small apartment, that'd be 50 million x 20 m2 = 1 billion dennies
divided by 77k dennies a day, that's 12,987 days, or 35.5 years
food in new eridu is very cheap, general chop sells noodles for 2,500 to 5,000 dennies. though the other costs of living are unknown

with living expenses included, it could take a single schmuck maybe around 50 years to buy a small apartment in New Eridu
irl, most places say it should take around 20 years, but you'd have to be making skilled proxy levels of dennies for that here
so in conclusion, the people of New Eridu are around 3 times poorer than irl. so it's no wonder many turn to hollow raiding. and that's if you even have New Eridu citizenship, which as we know from the Calydonians, many do not

still trying to understand the dennie economy of new eridu.

1 canned cat food is worth 2,500 dennies.
irl canned cat food is worth between 1.5 and 3$.
description says it's very high end, so i think 2.5 is a fair guess... though it could be much higher.
thus 1,000 dennies would be worth 1$.

this would make the cost of 100,000,000 (100 million) dennies per square meter of housing in the center of the (last) city (on earth) equal to around 100,000$ per square meter.
compared to the most expensive place on earth, monaco, which is around 15,000$ per square meter, it'd be around 7 times more expensive, which i guess would be believable.

the only other examples of currency in-world i can recall are the auction and that event where we can see the dennie balance of people. i don't think it was a bank though, it was either while working for pubsec or some small business. but i haven't looked into either.
i think also they mentioned the fairy electricity bill in that event with the chibi art style, not sure.
and the memecoins minted by the temple aren't related to a real currency like the dennie.

>100,000,000 dennies per m2
>text below it says it's in the city center
>bottom text can't be google translated
considering it's basically the last city on earth, i'll compare it to new york, which averages 4,000 $ per m2

this means that 1$ could be worth approximately 25,000 dennies

this is very close to the conversion rate of indonesian rupiah, which is 25,000 for 1.5$

if anyone has examples of other known ingame prices, let me know (like food, clothes, etc)
