I have no idea honestly. Just one of those random things that cuts at you for some reason. I grew up very religious (and still am to some extent) so I guess an innocent character gaining supernatural powers to go on a killing spree and the proclaiming themselves God really resonated in my stupid child brain.

I also heard the stories of the Tails Doll and Lavender Town Syndrome and my parents were always critical of vidya for being addictive. I would always feel dirty when I brought up vidya in church so I guess I was convinced that games had some kind of spiritual power.

I don't really know know if what I'm writing makes any sense or not, I'm just trying to figure out the way my brain worked as an eight year old
