In Ducktales, Scrooge is too sensitive about his family and adventures simply because they didn't want to show the true qualities that Scrooge has in the comics. Otherwise, if he had, and if Donald had more of his focus in Ducktales, we would have a real rivalry between Donald and Scrooge. I much prefer it when Scrooge is a bastard. I'm sure he would have been like that in Quack Pack (as he was in Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse), and Donald would have turned out to be a better person than him.
