Again, kinda not true. What you actually do is use Lyn with any mounted mage. Ivy is ever so slightly better it at than most because she flies, but MK Citrinne is good at it too and even has early Canter to go with it, and you can even make Clanne or something performant in this role. Emblems tend to smooth over minor variations in performance and a lot of the cast just blends into a grey slush in the post-well game.
