That goes to show how completely disconnected from reality that lot was. I mentioned this a few times, the vtuber is NOT the "person inside", in the same way it is not the model and character either.
A "vtuber" is an emergent property of the "person inside"; the model and character, the fanbase and the environment she is embedded within.
Change pretty much ANY of these and it is no longer the same vtuber and its notoriety and following base is NOT transitive, it does not necessarily pass from the "old" to the "new" vtuber.
