Anon, immigration is one factor. One. I've met trans people that have claimed asylum in England, people who have fled persecution, and now face a new kind of persecution now.

There's legal migration, illegal migration, asylum seekers and refugees. They are not all a homogeneous group.

The issue you are highlighting is legal immigration, and I agree, increased numbers of people place pressure on health system and housing stock. But it isn't the full picture, it is ONE FACTOR.

The way in which housing is set up here means it must stay unaffordable because of the purpose that housing serves for the Bank of England in loan eligibility from private banks and the IMF, as well as credit rating organisations. Also it heavily skewers towards favouring landlords

A landlord here can convert a 2 bedroom home in a dwelling for 5 adults by portioning a bedroom, and calling half the kitchen a room, and storage spage a room. Each room is then charged to the local council at £1250 a month, far, far above the market rate. In one house that's £6250 a month given to the landlord, many landlords have between 15 to 300 houses. So the poorer landlords will make £93,750 a month (£1.2m per year), and the wealthier landlords will make £1.8m a month (£22.5m per year)

This is happening all over the country, I cannot make it any more stark, public money is being funnelled into private hands at a rate never before seen in human history, even more than the Shock Doctrine when the USSR fell
