Alicesoft is one of those first to the market types. Industry setting, but wholly mediocre once the industry actually blossoms. Their games are mediocre both in terms of gameplay and in terms of H-content/fetishism. They were just one of the first real companies to actually make hentai games so they become iconic in the space. It's similar to web comics/serials.
