Some networks these days just don't allow ecchi and a common producer, Remow, usually forces Studios to make their Anime as censored as possible so that they can upload the episodes on YouTube with monetization. In the case of OP it's a mix of the network and the Studio Lidenfilms going unnecessarily overboard, they tend to do that for their Shounen Anime. That comes to mind the only Anime where the staff themselves willingly censor their adaptations is Kyoto Animation with Dragon Maid but that's because they're going with a completely different tone with their adaptation.

I know you're baiting but I once met a person like this irl which baffled me, why should a harmless medium you don't like be destroyed just because they aren't catering specifically to you. This is a medium that's primarily made to cater to the Japanese, what's stopping you from not watching it?
