There are a few around but they're mostly just the funny fat gay friend trope playing small roles. There's an Australian series recently made called 'Invisible Boys' and one of the characters is said to be fat (he's not really). But he's average looking and it was refreshing to see a normal person in the cast of tall black jock, skinny white emo twink and bronzed pretty boy.
