Most of those "Nuclear Scientists" were professors / university faculty

I thought the problem was they were enriching it too much? Why do they need to kill the scientists if they already are at that stage? They just need to enrich uranium and they can put it in a bomb (for which you can get the blueprints on Wikipedia, that part's easy). They don't need the researchers anymore; they were murdered just for knowing things about nuclear science
