Jesus and God are not looking for "smart" people. They are looking for people who are humble in heart and ready to listen and obey. Nothing more. The stoics and Bhuddist can have the intellectuals.

In order to come to get to know the mind of Christ and the mind of God you must let go of everything, even your "education." This doesn't mean drop out of high school and college but the type of education that blocks Christ from entering your heart. This can be anything from religious studies, to already acquired "wisdom" found in other religions and philosophical education in higher learning as well.
