I'm a retard and already made a separate thread for my question but might as well try here instead.

How do you study models that you can't grab directly? Pic related. I tried to grab as many images as I could but can't get a good orthographic reference (and yes I know the model I'm doing looks like shit but I'm trying)

Here is some stuff I've attempted using other references I found of the character. Its mostly working but I feel like this approach is pretty inefficient and I can't get study to quite line up. (I'm also pretty inexperienced with character modeling desu)

Would it be better to try to draw out some sort of block out turn around first?
