Nyaan and Machu are bizarre to me because it feels like they're transplanted characters from another series but actually they're original.
Machu in particular feels very strongly defined even though she's barely done anything for weeks. I have to credit Tsurumaki and the directors for this, and especially Tomoyo who is the greatest seiyuu of this generation.
The weak spot is as it often is the writing. I really want to see these characters somewhere else written by somewhere else. Maybe in something like a manga which can be done as a serial.
