Yes, I do meditate. I do Fikr, which is an Islamic form of meditation. It is my dream to build a zawiya, an Islamic monastery for a brotherhood of ascetics. We also use beads for prayer and meditation called misbaha. Islam has a rich mystical tradition that focuses on the inward spiritual self, developing a pereonal relationship with God, and peaceful intellectual study. In general I have a lot of respect for Christian and Buddhist monks, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) loved Christian monks and the Koran praises them.
