I feel like this fight with Chihiro was the last chance for that. Plus we need a Seitei War EB wielder vet to die in this arc, he just makes the most sense.

Plausible, and I could definitely see Uruha wanting to avenge him. But I feel like the responsibility of avenging him is ultimately gonna fall on Iori's lap.
