Not sure about half assed but it was probably all marketing going with that claim and I don’t think that was a good idea cause there’s so many you die 5 seconds later endings people would find out right away. My first ending was turning down Yugamu and dying immediately.
I’m sure Kodaka wanted all of the endings to have weight but he did also just do 2 single ending routes (well, suppose reset makes it 2 endings for that one) and said everyone else do all 98 others and left them to their devices until they had to tell him they’re not gonna finish unless he helps write some of them. And then so slammed he had to write a last minute route himself to get to the amount of endings.
