You'd have to be an actual retard to take children to public areas like that here. You'd have to be mildly suicidal to show up by yourself to an appreciable amount of them too.
Saturation will vary by state, obviously, but just 'going out' isn't really viable. If you live in NW Montana or something, sure. But fully 2/3rds of the lower 48 that's a bad logistical decision for a lot of us, especially with families and kids.
The 'Activities' you hear Americans talking about are just an excuse to vet freaks; in a predetermined area you can have people trespassed from. We can't just say 'No Savages' even though that's exactly where the fucking bar is right now.
