Visiting Moscow gives a type of culture shock. Every American that goes, even Tucker Carlson, has the same experience. Everything is safe, clean, peaceful, and white. It's like an alternate reality compared to American cities which are dirty, dangerous, rowdy, and non-white. The people there are attractive, skinny, well-dressed, healthy-looking. It really is a slap in the face to realize what you're missing and should have back in the states.
Russia isn't the enemy. But leadership loves to push that narrative of an external enemy because otherwise then the plebs would realize what's being kept from them and what's being done to them.
