I went to it, expecting the usual stuff I see on /pol/, people fucking and shitting in the streets, biker dads walking around in thongs and doing all kinds of wild shit.
Instead what I experienced was just a mass of normal, completely average hungarian people forming a national protest against a corrupt government that has repeatedly failed its duties and its people.
Orbán has attempted to curb the basic human right to assembly by fearmongering the hungarian people with fags and immigrants, and he has failed in an astonishing fashion. Plenty of straight people attended, including me. Because well sure, it's about the gays on the one hand, but on the other hand it's about a tanking economy, hospitals that are falling apart, constantly rising prices, shady or downright fraudulent use of government funds, and tiresome totalitarianist bullshit like trying to change the constitution so that you can silence whoever you want.
The everyday people, the civis of Hungary have quite simply had enough.
