Ruby was able to find something, and after talking about it and looking over her notes I realized there we're on the verge of a potential breakthrough with [Custom Special]. If either one of us look into it, we can figure out how to make it happen."

"Anyway," You continued "Why do you even care if I make the pearl or not? You usually don't bother me while I'm in the middle of doing shit." That wasn't exactly true, since Herta had a habit of helping you whenever she thought you needed it.

"I always care about you." Herta had a fervent look on her face. "Even now I'd be willing to drop everything and help you out, Master."

You were ready to rebuff her— but a goddess helping you, no matter how incompetent she could be at times, still had merit.
