The Christian doctrine that everything right God and those who believe in him are true and that all who do not follow him are enemies and evil is the reason why Europeans have fought so many bloody wars. This is why Americans and Jews still regard Islam as evil and inhuman and think it's okay to bomb them any way they want.
And the absence of such teachings is why Buddhism has historically had a peaceful spread throughout the world.
