Simple doesn't mean generic. Blue Archive is the dictionary definition of a picture being worth a thousand words. They do so much more with less.
Take Arona for example, an extremely simple design yet it instantly recognizable and stands out.
Compared to the overdesigned slop this game puts out with a thousand clashing colors and explosions of meaningless flair. Cygames is playing little league T ball while BA is playing in the world series.
