I remember I played AST on day 1 and it was like every week it'd be "oops actually here's an adjustment" "oops sorry actually it should be this much potency sorry!" I actively avoided leveling BLM for quite a while because of the shift in how it played (to me, a not-BLM player)
DT shouldn't have as many "growing pains" as it does, and I just hope that things get better SOON. I'm still having fun playing the game but I can imagine the genuine dread people can feel
