I once designed blueprints for creating a plasma engine that utilised eddy currents, as oscillating AC currents that can be used to generate a staged magnetic field, interacts with plasma. I can barely remember the gear I was using but it involved ac current being blasted through a type of relay that staged burst of AC through differing coils that allowed for 3 magnetic fields to turn on and off and react with the plasma within each of the 3 electromagnetic coils to produce a downward thrust. But I ran out of money and almost burned down my house trying to tap in the AC power lines. It required a fuck ton of power. There have been similar experiments done before me that use different methods, which depressed me when I found out.

A more advanced example is the Magnetic Field Oscillating Amplified (MOA) thruster, which uses Alfvén waves to drive azimuthal eddy currents. These currents compress and accelerate the plasma in a pulsed manner.
