Agreed on the oversized role of big money, but turnout in the last American elections compares favourable to the one in the last elections here in Italy, it's "liberal-democracy" on the whole that is in crisis... And to be fair, to an extent, Drumpf' history shows how big money and big interests don't really hold the ultimate word about the result. The actual issue in America is that the left is structured quite differently and they will certainly stop the likes of Mamdani, even at the cost of making a bipartisan ticket with Drumpf in support of Adams, aiming eventually to push someone like Newsom (and lose, again, with him).

I'm half expecting him to declare war against Denmark on Greenland instead. Either way, it will be funny to see how Article 5 plays between NATO "allies".
