You have any idea how many times in my youth and even today, I would line up Scriptures to rebuke my enemies and false teachers only to open the Bible looking for validation only for God to snack me upside the head and rebuke me?
Two things tho.
1. The willingness to be rebuked and accept God’s Will saved me from punishment needing to go further.
2. God didn’t always rebuke me and even when He did He didn’t always say I was wrong.
3. Salvation is a process not a single moment of elation or conviction leading to an alter call and then you go on about your way and do all the same stuff thinking you are good.
Phillipians 2:12
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
Also it’s apparent to me you have spent too much time in the NT and haven’t learned about God from the OT.
This is by design of church leaders wanting to usurp or obscure God in all His Glory and Majesty.
The gentile mind always wants to understand in every minutae all things before they act or commit.
The hebrew mind understands through thousands of years of dealing with God, that sometimes you just have to go to know. Obedience is better than sacrifice etc etc.
You are also going to need to learn Romans 11 which dictates our attitude as gentiles towards the Israelites.
