Building up some lore surrounding single-use magic spellcards that were used before arcane technology. Leaning harder on fantasy than sci-fi with a card that lets a pony cast Wish and rewrite reality completely. MC wants it to bring back his waifu.
Not Ministry of Arcane Science tech, but things developed during Starswirl's time under the Royal Arcane Commission. Old dungeons and crypts, magic scrolls documenting stuff, etc. Does it sound like an interesting concept?
