Deltarune is a game about how Toriel is happier when Kris isn't around, Asriel moved on with his life by going to uni and left Kris behind, Noelle still gets to have an overall happy and functional life while Kris remains distanced and depressed, Asgore is borderline not part of Kris' life at all anymore, all of Kris' classmates are part of a buddy duo except Susie. Susie is the only reason Kris has to think never being born would actually make life worse for anyone at all.
