Nope. 75% of all Xenos will die out in the wildnerness. You won't have any hives or queens. At most it'll be small murders that get mixed in with rumors.
But don't worry, I did the math.
Only 155 Xenos will be in habitable zones. Given the rate at which a Facehugger can form, chestbuster to adult is 8 hours. 24hrs later you start having a hive emerge and 3-5 days a queen. Cities are the ideal catalyst for all of these things, especially considering the dense network of underground tunnels and subways. Every city will have over 10,000 Xenos within a fortnight. That's when they'll be nuked. Which will ironically kill more humans than Xenos due to the radioactive fallout. Which will be immense due to the fact that our nukes must have a delayed fuze (like a bunker buster) to get the hives in the tunnels.
There'd undoubtedbly be an evacuation effort and thousands of refugees who carry xenos without knowing it. Let's say 10% hive remnants escape. Given the fact that they are being transported through the interstate roads will cluster up at every medium sized town within a week. Maybe a month goes by before we have a million xenos who are now dispersed, and decentralized.
Martial law will take into effect. I can go on but yeah.

Doesn't matter if there are no (human) hosts. You'll get some zoological apex preds though but they will be far from humans. We must focus on the reproduction rate not if they can hide.
