Herta was soon to greet you, easily finding you by using the spell you placed on her golden collar.

You then proceeded to spoil the goddess with love and attention, the very same that would appease her masochistic tendencies as you'd done ever since she finished making a cure for Bad Luck so quickly.

"Master~" Herta said, guiding your hand to her stomach. "You feel that? Our babies are kicking. They must be happy to hear your voice."

You didn't know what to say to that. An indescribable emotion warmed your heart.

After sharing some more intimate moments with her, the two of you found yourselves by the dining table hand in hand. The rest of your wives soon followed suit.

Bertha came by, with Ayane following behind. The latter was carrying a comically large tray with many types of western and asian foods.

Ayane tripped— but quickly regained her composure. Though the same couldn't be said about the trays of food she was carrying.

Strangely enough there wasn't anything to worry about. All of the plates landed directly in front of everyone by the table— along with utensils and napkins and other items that were needed for eating— all perfectly set up, much to everyone's glee.

"Yay!" Bertha said. "This stuff looks delicious!"

"Weren't you there to cook with her?" Ruby queried to Ayane, not questioning what just happened.

"Yeah? So?" Bertha rebuffed. "Just because I helped cook doesn't mean I can't enjoy the food."

"That a new ability, mate?" Cattleya glanced at Ayane. "A skill, spell, or artifact shit to set the table?"

"No." Ayane shook her head. She was the very picture of composure in almost every situation, this one none the different. "I don't believe so."

"So you're saying what just happened is just a coincidence?" Mel said as she tried (and failed) to use some chopsticks. "I've heard that you've gotten your Bad Luck removed, but-"

"Congrats on that again, by the way!" Bertha interrupted.

"Indeed." Gerty continued. "It is by our Master's grace that you've been cured."

"-yeah, we're happy for you." Mel cleared her throat. "But I don't think that means you've suddenly become super lucky, right?" She glanced between you, the goddess, and the fox.

"Not that I'm aware." Ayane then placed a finger to her own chin in thought. "But now that you mention it, I have had some rather fortunate things happen to me as of recent."

"Well it isn't some sort of karmic reversal, that's for sure." Herta spoke as she kept on embracing you like she was touch starved. "I didn't increase her luck or give her blessings. I just cured her from any curses she might've had." Herta did tell you that if there were any curses Ayane had that you didn't know about, the ritual fully got rid of them. She also mentioned something about 'giving Bad Luck one final purge' before it was removed from Ayane's body, though you weren't entirely sure what that meant. She was likely being cautious again.
