The Phillipines have 5 frigates with the armament of small corvettes (8 anti ship missiles and limited SAMs) +1 corvette with only offensive capability being torpedoes.
It's not going to be a naval war. China should only need to use about 12 missiles to wipe the entire Philippine navy, and that will be it.

After that the Phillipines would be down to attempting to ram Chinese ships.

As for air force, they have 11 T-50 jet trainers/ground attack jets and 6 Super Tucano propeller planes.
So no, this will never be a war. MAYBE we can talk about a single naval battle, but it will be over before the mutts can react (despite already being there).

Just for context, this entire force (apart from perhaps the air force) is small enough for a single Chinese C4i operator to keep track of.
