Before departing to Camp Rex, you stop by your private armor and consider the task at hand. Since you’re hitting the outer defenses, you take roughly the same load out as your foray last month.

You’re not planning to suit up as light as before, much to your chagrin. You grab the CoS Silencer Rifle for initial engagements and Bozar for when things go loud. Bozar is fantastic for medium-range engagements and with how sparse the depot bunkers are, it may be better than a standard rifle.

Of course, you can’t ignore the chance of close-knit fighting within the bunkers, the town itself or the administration buildings so you round out the arsenal with the Q-35. It’s not a shotgun but it packs a hell of a punch. Your armor is the Advanced Riot Gear, particularly for night vision.

To free up weight, you shed any food you would normally bring and just pack the bare minimum for water. If you have to walk back, you have bigger issues.

Rounding out the equipment, you take most of the plastic explosives, a bundle of plasma mines and enough fragmentation grenades to make the boomers blush. Turning the lights off, you leave the armory and head to Camp Rex to undertake the most audacious operation of your rule yet.

The issues started immediately, overhearing an argument between Moreno in his Enclave Remnants armor and a group of Brotherhood pilots aiming laser weapons at him.

Moreno: And I don’t plan on telling you metal traitors anything about this armor!

The group of Brotherhood pilots see you approach but don’t lower their weapons just yet.

Moreno: And if you think those little zappers are going to do anything against real American Power Armor, you’ve got another thing going for you. Now lower those things before I start to get mad!

Uh oh.
