That's some cope.
>he didn't mean literal dog, he just used it as a slur to describe lowly beggars

You say the lost sheep of Israel means Christians, but they weren't even a thing yet, Jesus didn't come to create a schism, like he said in Matthew 5:17 "I did not come to abolish the Law of the Prophets (ie Torah Law), but to fulfill it".

The gentile was a woman of faith, who recognized Jesus as the Lord and son of David, and begged for his help.

Faith in Jesus qualifies one as a Christian. When Jesus said "it's not right to take the children's bread and toss it to dogs", who did he mean by children?

If the "kunarion" term wasn't a putdown likening her to an actual dog, how does her counter argument saying loyal dogs deserve scraps from their masters table make sense? It persuaded Jesus.

Seems like mere faith wasn't enough for the gentile woman. Unlike the real lost sheep of Israel Jesus ministered to with great patience and without reservation, she had to demonstrate a higher degree of submission and admit she's a dog to be worthy of his time.
