I think the crux of this and similar posts is that people didn't like "Rooster Teeth", they just liked specific people there. The company started going through changes which lead to those personalities leaving for one reason or another, and as those people left, their fans left with them.
Replacing those people with new hires, new teams, new projects simply won't bring the audience back, and it didn't.
