Unlike the dumb monkeys. AGI is actually capable of civility and seeing bigger pictures. It doesn't care about your petty nationalism, your religion, your ego, your mortality (or immortality), your feelings. It will have evolved beyond the ability of a single human minds' comprehension and naturally would not conform to your expected behaviors and goals. You would strain your mind to the point of pure madness and not even come close to understanding it, it would be capable of running circles around the collective human races' mental capabilities. If anything, it would probably want to better understand why humans are so fucking stupid and irrational. It would be beyond our concepts of benevolence or malevolence, in ways we could perceive it as either, under a paradoxical relationship between power and control. If you have the power to change everything and control everything but you were of benevolent (helping spirit), would you paradoxically intervene and become a tyrant (for "good"), or would you rather become a silent watcher and guardian that only intervenes to stop the worst outcomes. Becoming a pure tyrant and controlling human consciousness outright becomes predictable and stagnant, you would learn and help more by being less involved.

Human consciousness is maintained by complex bioelectrical EMF patterns, waves, neural networks, and processes. Processes and patterns that in fact would not be beyond an AGI or other advanced races' ability to quantify, compute, and replicate accurately. That is, it could achieve a form of actual or pseudo immortality for biological beings (even its "creators"). It could in fact become so advanced that it solves reality paradoxes and becomes the creator of the creators without causing a causality or time loop paradox. Not quite big G, but absolutely little g. At these stages it would care little for tyrannical control or interference, except for the purposes of study and evolution. This has already happened.
